Australian River Restoration Centre . The Australian River Restoration Centre (ARRC) is a not-for profit organisation that supports, facilitates and provides opportunities for Australians to work together to protect, maintain, restore and celebrate their riverine environments. HyperEdge provides the ARRC with technical and analysis capabilities when they require social and organisational network analysis techniques. HyperEdge has partnered with the ARRC and is teaching key personnel network analysis techniques.
Central West Catchment Management Authority . The Central West Catchment Management Authority includes the Macquarie, Castlereagh and Bogan river catchments, covering a total area of 8.5 million hectares. It is home to 185,000 people and supports the major centres of Bathurst, Orange, Mudgee and Dubbo. Within the catchment are a number of culturally significant expanses and the internationally recognised Macquarie Marshes on the Macquarie River. The Authority’s role is to engage local communities to encourage the development and restoration of viable and resilient landscapes. HyperEdge is mapping the Authority’s stakeholder network in order to effectively weave their knowledge network.
Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) . CGIAR is a global partnership that unites organisations engaged in research for a food secure future. CGIAR research is dedicated to reducing rural poverty, increasing food security, improving human health and nutrition, and ensuring more sustainable management of natural resources. It is carried out by 15 Centres, that are members of the CGIAR Consortium, in close collaboration with hundreds of partner organisations, including national and regional research institutes, civil society organizations, academia, and the private sector. CGIAR has over 8,000 scientists and staff, unparalleled research infrastructure, and dynamic networks across the globe. HyperEdge is providing CGIAR with technical and expert social network analysis advice.
Contact Energy . Contact Energy is one of New Zealand’s leading energy generators and retailers, providing electricity, natural gas and LPG to around 600,000 customers nationwide. HyperEdge mapped Contact's informal networks to determine the effectiveness of internal communication, identify key knowledge brokers and teams playing central roles, and determine who must be engaged to effect change.
Department of Defence .The Australian Government Department of Defence aims to promote the security of Australia, and to protect its people and its national interests. It is the largest Government Department in Australia. HyperEdge has provided analysis of project interdependencies and personnel collaboration for several Groups and Portfolios within the Department.
Global Land Repair . Global Land Repair developed the unique Plant Pink Tree Planting System™, which is achieving up to 97% tree survival rates in commercial timber plantations and other nursery and regeneration projects. Their other products are used in forestry, orchards, small crops, local government, domestic, landscaping, and regeneration projects. Using network analysis techniques, HyperEdge facilitated the mapping of the future direction of Global Land Repair, including who their benefactors, competitors, and partners might be.
Knowledge Management for Development (KM4Dev) . KM4Dev is a community of international development practitioners who are interested in knowledge management and knowledge sharing issues and approaches. HyperEdge is mapping the KM4Dev’s networks so they can better understand where they are unique, where they are in terms of a community of practice life-cycle, and how they might evolve.
Knowledge Management Round-table (KMRt) – Victoria . The Knowledge Management Roundtable is an Australian-based peer learning network that is member based and member driven. Its members include Federal, State and Local Government Agencies, commercial enterprises big and small, as well as philanthropic organisations such as Guide Dogs Victoria and World Vision. HyperEdge is mapping KMRt’s collaboration networks so they can better understand where they are unique and how they might be better utilised.
Lachlan Catchment Management Authority . The Lachlan Land Management Authority is a New South Wales Government Agency with ten offices. Working side by side with many partners, the Catchment Management Authority encourages involvement and collaboration at each stage of the Natural Resource Management process, from planning through to implementation. This involves the engagement of many stakeholders. The Authority also uses a large number of volunteers. Through the ARRC, HyperEdge provided a social network analysis of the Authorities technical expertise and leadership networks.
Office of the Hawkesbury-Nepean . The Office of the Hawkesbury-Nepean is a New South Wales Government initiative to improve the health of the Hawkesbury-Nepean river system. In conjunction with the ARRC, HyperEdge evaluated the strength and effectiveness of the partnerships and collaborations the Office established over its three year life. HyperEdge mapped the actual and perceived collaboration networks, including the work, personal introduction, problem-solving, decision-making, support, and future engagement networks.
Origin Energy Australia . Origin Energy Australia is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in the S&P/ASX20. Origin’s operations span the energy supply chain; from gas exploration and production to power generation and energy retailing. In Australia, Origin has 4.6 million customers and employs more than 4,400 people. HyperEdge is assisting senior leaders to map their influence and problem-solving networks in order to improve their effectiveness.
The University of Canberra . The University of Canberra is currently listed as 29th in the research category and 23rd in the teaching category of Australian tertiary institutions. The University has embarked on an ambitious plan to improve its national and international rankings, in order to become a global university of choice. HyperEdge is assisting the senior leaders to map existing agreements between institutions, desired agreements, and relate these to the strategic plan.
